Can Eircom Netopia Router be used as a Wireless adapter?

i have a friend who has Eircom Broadband installed. The wirless works fine and his laptop has no problems accessing it, even down the end of the garden in his workshop.

He has a desktop PC (running ME) in the workshop that he would like broadband on and for various reasons, he does not want to run a cable.

I have a spare Netopia Router, can that be configured to work as a wireless netork adapter? If so, how? I took a look at the setup, but did not see anything.

I know I could simply go out and buy another wireless adapter for the PC, but it seems a waste not to try and reuse exisiting spare equipment.

    Thanks,
    mj
