Workplace Parking Tax ...

Apparently, Gordon Brown is considering a workplace parking tax in the UK. If it's implemented, how long before our boys here deicde it's a great idea too? As if it isn't difficult enough to be a motoring enthusiast in this country ...

That is something I definitely agree with!!

Paying for your parking is a form of taxation and should be tax deductible!

So presumably the "private use" element finishes when the employee reaches work and from then on during working hours it's use is 100% business. If this is so then the employee is not obtaining any personal benefit from a company car while the car is on company premises, it's effectively back in the custody of it's owners, the company, therefore no BIK.
