When someone signs up to boards, they put your name in the referral box (maybe a friend of yours or something).

Off topic I know, but whats a H-mod? I know what the rest are, and now I know what referal is. (should have been obvious, benefit of hindsight I guess)

It's a hosted mod. It's someone who mods a forum in the hosted section....or at least I think it is.

That must have been awful confusing with the category mods. Was this why it was changed to hosted?

While we're asking questions, what's a hosted forum? And how is it different to a regular forum?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 16,396 ✭✭✭✭kaimera

    http://wiki.boards.ie/wiki/Hosted

Hosted will have a slightly different set of rules from the normal boards.ie rules afaik.

I'm not sure what makes a forum hosted rather than a part of boards itself.

Many were existing organisations before the came to boards or are gaming clans or the like.

Cool. I would have thought clans would have gotten private fora tho? *shrug*
