Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Rush Tickets arrived yesterday :)

Friday night, we're meeting for a Curry, then off to Sally Longs to see Baggio's band - Never Say Die. Sunday night, we're thinking of the Irish Pink Floyd at the Roisin Dubh.

    R.I P John Rutsey.
Drummer for Rush from 1968 to the first Album in 1974.

Sad to hear about John Rutsey, He passed away on the 11th due to complications with his diabetes.

Rush are one of my favourite all time bands.

He seems to have been the driving force of the band in the early days so if it wasn't for him...RIP - be giving the debut a spin this evening

John Rutsy will get an honourable mention in Galway at the Counterparts Gig this weekend, some early stuff from the first Album would be appropriate.

great gig in the quays last night!
those guys need to seriously update their website regarding mp3 and video as it doesnt do them credit(hopefully some if that would have been recorded).
Highlights for me the enemy within, xanadu, limelight to many to mention!
Brilliant for west of Ireland and Ireland as a whole that some guys decided to shift a hell of a lot of gear to come over to galway for one show,i find this amazing!!!
the quality of the show was top drawer!
Hopefully this will be a sign of things to come!
as you probably can imagine not a lot of people in Ireland would have heard of rush so its great for the profile of the band and its music to get a stage at long last.
Big Thanks to Tom Garrett and all the organisers!!!!
hopefully a annual event going forward as it can only get bigger!!

I wanna Rock!!!!I want to ROCK!!!!

    Cheers Johnny,
Thankfuly it went very well, and it's highly likely we'll do it again next year.
It wasn't easy getting all the gear to fit on the stage lol.
Cheers to Woody and all the reat of Counterparts, those guys really nailed every song, and what a fantastic three hours it was.
    Next Time;)

Great gig, I really enjoyed it.

Got a few pics, didn't turn out great for the most part, but take a look here, and also:
