So who here listens to podcasts? I never did, I don't have an iPod, didn't have iTunes and couldn't see the point. Then someone told me about some gift grub sketch, decided i wanted to listen to it, got the podcast and i've been listening to some ever since.

Does anyone else have subscriptions to the various Irish station's podcasts? What are your recommendations??

i subscribe to various espn ones to football weekly and the game.Gift grub is excellent.Podcasts are great if you dont get a chance to hear a particular show

I subscribe to Gift Grub too, and the far inferior Nob Nation (about 1 out of 10 of them is good). Eamon Dunphy's "Conversation" show on Radio 1 can be good, depending on whether or not you are interested in the interviewee, but I find Dunphy to be a very good interviewer.

Podcast is an unfortunate word because it implies that you need an iPod and iTunes to listen to them. Oh well :rolleyes:

My faves are the Gift Grub sketches, an arts show called Fresh Air which broadcasts on NPR in the USA and, being a Pink Floyd freak for my sins, a great fortnightly podcast. I'm loving the revamped RTE Radio 1 website. They sometimes have good documentaries on in the evenings when I wouldn't be normally listening to radio so it's nice to pull them down and listen to them.

Irish radio - Gift grub. English radio - 606 on BBC Radio 5 live. Podcasts on Premier League football, and "bitesize" of Clive Bull on LBC.
