Patio door, handle broke

Hi All I've a patio door (1 side fixed and 1 slides open) when shut over I lift a small lever/piece to engage the lock and then turn the key. Unfortunately I've just broken off this lever & therefore cant lock the door from the inside. I'm just wondering what do I do?? Do I now need to replace the patio door? can the…

Hi All

I've a patio door (1 side fixed and 1 slides open)

when shut over I lift a small lever/piece to engage the lock and then turn the key.
Unfortunately I've just broken off this lever & therefore cant lock the door from the inside.
I'm just wondering what do I do??

Do I now need to replace the patio door?
can the handle/locking area be replaced only?
Is this expensive?
and does anyone know anyone who can do this?
