If you check the fireararms acts you will find that there is in fact no limit. If you talk to Gardai you will find that there are varying limits depending on: the weather, where you live, the phases of the moon, whether they like you or not, what the Super thinks, what the Sergeant thinks, what they would really like if they wrote the firearms act or the square root of any random number between 1 and 10.
