Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

That happened to me last week. Next day it was dead so I'd say yours is on its way out.

I got the rings the other day as well but it is now working again fine at the moment somehow. Got another year and a half to go with the warranty for it to fail completely though so not too bothered about it for now.

Why do people tolerate these problems with the xbox? If a similar problem happened with my PS3 that would be it. I would probably never use one again! Same with any other product, be it a tv or mp3 player or anything else.

Because entertainment-wise, it's the best next gen console out there. And Microsoft are replacing them for free under the 3 year warranty. The consumer doesn't lose anything. Even the people who had to pay a fee before the increased warranty have received cheques in the post refunding them the money they paid. Looks like Microsoft do care. They are also rectifying the problems with the console

I gave up on the 360 after having 4 different ones sent out to me and they just kept breaking on me..think it was away being fixed more than I got to play it :D It just was not worth all the hassle of ringing Ups to collect it and then trying to tell someone whats wrong with it when most of them couldnt speak english very well..it really was a nightmare going through it..

Yes but if Sony had similar hardware problems they would probably be out of the console market by now. I just find it hard to understand why microsoft seem to be allowed so much slack with their defective consoles, even if they are fixing them now.

Microsoft's customer service and tech support is second-to-none, really. They were a bit reluctant to replace RROD consoles in the beginning, but now that it's a confirmed widespread problem, they're being more than fair about it all.

My Electricity went for 1 second the other day and immediately came back on and the 360 had the 3 red rings, restarted it and it was fine.

It won't die on me, i'm sure of it

Exactly. For the time being (at least) it's the best of a bad lot.

What? Why would they probably be out of the console market by now? That makes no sense. They'd do the same things that MS are doing ; appease their customers as best they can.

I've been getting the three red rings from tie to time for the past year. A quick off/on sorts it though.
