Geb with a new marathon WR

    Haile Gebreselassia broke the marathon WR in Berlin is 2:04:26. He went through in 62:29 and came home in 61:57, amazing stuff!! Possibly now the greatest distance runner of all time, a true legend.

    amazing run. Congrats to him and everyone else in Berlin including our own Amadeus who also set a PB.

    I don't even think he needed this for that accolade. At least until Bekele runs a marathon :)

    He was introduced to the field before the race and got a HUGE roar of applause and approval, very popular man and a fantastic athlete. He was at teh after race party and seemed very humble and genuine. And 10 mins after the finish he had a call from Paul Tergat congratulating him, so all is warm, fuzzy and friendly!
