Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

In the castle. The last time we kipped on the floor of the main room. Well they did I passed out in the haunted room in the tower.

So true. That area was the one place in the castle where I felt very uncomfortable. The spooky dungeon was fine, but that corridor outside the toilet...creepy as hell.

    Limbo tournament?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,620 ✭✭✭Roen

I was planning on kipping in the forest (permission pending of course).

So if anyone that is interested wants to learn about the particular style of camping I like they're more than welcome. Bear in mind there's a few weeks of learning and practice going to be crammed into one day so if you want in you can forget about pretty much anything else. Not a whole lot of daylight during November after all :)

I met Bear Grylls at one of his after dinner speaking sessions ... he gave a rousing and amusing speach about climbing Everest to us corporate types as a motivation exercise ... but then when you met him in person he came across as a pompus public schoolboy type ...

I think I've had enough of open air sleeping in arctic conditions ... though I have to say there is something really nice about stringing up a hammock or laying out your thermalrest and sleeping under a veil of stars ... though it gets quite cold in the night in some places

So, am I correct in saying there are no beds? We'll be sleeping inside on the floor and it will be cold? I shall pack accordingly. :)

Instead of all this packing, you could hire some local floozies to keep us all warm :D

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,770 ✭✭✭Sebzy

Will get the fire going again and floozies would not go astray either ......

Not too long to go now.

Is their a specific area of the castle that we'll be sleeping in, or is it just wherever we decide to set down?
