Not sure if this is the right forum for this, but here goes...

I have a gas fireplace which I haven't lit in ages.
I can't remember how to do it and I have no instructions.

On the front there are two controls

The first is a red knob which you can push or pull.
It says "coal push - coke pull"

The second is a black knob which you can twist.
It says starting from the right: off, ignite, high, low
To turn the black knob, I push it in, when it reaches "ignite" I can hear what sounds like gas (no smell) and if I twist a little more towards high, it clicks.

Does anyone know how these things ork?

    thanks

    P

what make/model number is on the name plate?:

the black knob is the ignition switch and the click is it sparking:

It could be a valuable piece of kit if you can pull it for coke:D

thanks for the response. I'll check the model when I get home.
When I was trying last night, I noticed that I only see a spark the odd time. It didn't happen at all for a while (which is when I got annoyed and posted). I guess I'll have to keep trying
