Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Yup got a message on my wii about this too, pretty nice offer!
But then again they are probably just using it to build up a database of wii owners.. because you give your name and address and serial number of the console..

Was going to post it here but put it in the freebies thread earlier today. Decent offer.

It seems be only for Ireland / Britain.
Miserable shower of games console manufacturers.

lol made up the serial. i just realised being the idiot i am, that its a cover for the Remote thingy..not an accual jacket haha
Good work fella.. Shame the owner of the Wii associated with that serial number won't be able to register their unit, and could face warranty issues, but as long as you get your free Wii jacket, who cares, right? I hope it fits. :(

Anyone else having a problem with the serial number. I entered the serial LEH12XXXXXX that's on the bottom of the wii and it is not accepted?? Any ideas?

Did you put in the numbers in the box thing too?
    calm down

the serial i entered looks nothing like a Wii serial key
    Why did you even order?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 16,339 ✭✭✭✭tman

In fairness, I can't be arsed going downstairs and unplugging my Wii to get to the serial number, writing it down and then coming back up here to enter it in the site... sounds way too much like effort to me.

Lol, do you even have a Wii? They are so meh I can't understand why anyone would want them if they had no use for them, free or otherwise.

Received my email yesterday, some people I've been talking to haven't though. Seems strange.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 642 ✭✭✭red_fox

I got that email too, and also know some who haven't. It's probably just we got in the first batch to be sent and the rest will follow in a few weeks.

Mine just arrived. Weird clunky feel to them. Lots of grooves on the back to make gripping easier. Not sure if I like the overall bubblyness of them. All 4 are see through. I doubt the wii mote will feel a thing if it inadvertently falls now that its all bubble wrapped. It makes hitting the B button trigger that little bit more difficult too. I'd say I'll give them a few days before I throw them away

The tip of your index finger should be touching the B button. The cover shouldn't make it awkward at all. It takes a little getting used to but I like it.

Got my 4 today. Excellently designed I think, for both comfort and safety- and works great with wii sports!

Got mine this evening, I'd completely forgot about them. There was me thinking my much needed computer components had arrived...

listen guys, Santa is bringing one of these (hasnt been seen yet) so I haven't a clue what the serial number will be or even look like. I tried a few combinations of letters and digits but it wont accept them. Can anyone advise or PM me a serial number.

    Cheers

Got 4 of them on Monday.

If you are getting a new Wii, they should be included in the box as standard. That was the point of issuing them free to existing owners.

You will only get one with it though.

So if you want more you will need to apply on the site.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,615 ✭✭✭✭Mellor

But Serial numbers of Wiis that came with a jacket included won't count for the free ones apparently. You can buy thinner coloured jackets in argos and similar

Muffler, the format for the wii code in on the first page, it starts with letters then nubers, try a few combinations
