Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Symantec Antivirus on Windows

    Hi

Just wondering if somebody know the answers to some questions I have regarding symantec anti-virus.

Q1. At home my symantec antivirus auto liveupdates no problem. I am not behind a proxy, just a "direct internet connection". However in work I noticed the same antivirus does not auto-update (it is behind a proxy here). Does anybody know if it is possible to get it to auto-update if it is using a proxy? It is a pain having to do manual update (a lot of machines.....and I mean a lot).

Q2. Anti-virus scan. Is it possible for the scan to run in the background and only popup if it actually detects a problem i.e. possible or actual virus ?

I will do a Google on these and see if I can find the answer. In the meantime if anybody know the answers it would be nice if you could tell me.

Apologies if these questions were asked already - I did search but could not find threads (maybe I searched wrong).

    Thanks in advance!
