Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Vista Wireless Issue

I've to call and look at a mate's computer tonight. I've never any issues when it comes to XP support, but this is my first Vista job. His laptop is regularly disconnecting from his wireless router, bearing in mind he has an XP laptop which has no issues at all.

    Suggestions on where to start?

power saving / standby - on resume it would have to go through the whole find the ap associate get dhcp dance again

on XP I'd check the wireless nic isn't set to turn off to save power ,probably in vista too

same happens to me with a Vista PC. I think it is because there are no vista drivers for the wireless adaptor.

I don't think it's power saving, but I'll check it regardless. Thanks for the help guys.

I have had the exact same issue but sorted it out.

Do you know what model network card is on the computer?

I disabled the Vista firewall and I'm not getting the problem. I have a firewall on the router.

    Give that a go.
