Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Adding Chinese to Windows XP

How is it possible to add Chinese to your Windows XP Pro? I have followed what other sites have said about changing regional settings. When I go to install the new Language it gives me a disk Error and asks me to insert Windows XP Pro Service Pack 2 CD. How to fix?

To install chinese you may need to install the MUI. Perhaps it is on the xp installation disk.

The files it needs to install the chinese character set are on the XP CD. You need to insert the CD so it can read off it.

If you just want to install the Chinese character set to view, say, webpages or documents in Chinese then its as irlrobins said. If you want to actually run XP in Chinese then this is only possible if your XP is a corporate volume licenced version. You can then get the MUI (multilanguage user interface) pack from MS and install it. In work, we have a bunch of PCs with English, German and Chinese UI's installed all at once. Then the users can set whichever language they prefer when they log on :)

    NOPE.

You have to buy it, and even then you have to be a volume customer :(
