    Hey
    With the recent opening of the new synthetic ice rink in ballincolig how many people are thinking about taking up hockey? Has anybody played for years but just never got the chance to sincet hey moved to Ireland?

    used to play years ago.. never even heard about the 'fake ice rink' in Ballincollig. Can't imagine too many would be interested in playing on synthetic ice.. Especially as it's probably not even half of the size of a regulation rink. (speculation of course)

    Live outside Ballincollig and never heard of the rink, where is it? Used to play ordinary hockey years ago. Would be interested in trying ice hockey if they are looking for any girlies. It would be a change from playing soccer anyway.

    Used to skate when the silverskate ice rink was in Phibsborough Dublin years ago and enjoyed it.
