Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Hi all,

First time here, looks like loads of you are experts in mobiles and PDA, please help if you can.

I bought a chinese brand PDA/Mp4 phone and I have internet/MMS/SMS all working using Vodafone Live, the only page that doesn't display is live.vodafone.ie but I dont care about that.

Now my problem is the phone does not have Java so I cant use the Gmail app so I have been trying to set up the pop3 email system.

I have followed Gmails instructions about the Incoming/Outgoing Server port numbers etc but I just keep getting DNS No server response, same for Hotmail and well vodafones webmail to your mobile is apparently not working since July so thats no good either.

    Can anyone help.

Incase one of you may actually have this phone I have attached a link to it below

    Regards

just had a flick through the online manual and specs, very light on detail but no mention of java, email client or any info on the browser so can't help much sorry...

the http://m.gmail.com link provides you with a login screen so you access Gmail using the internal browser (if it can handle it?) - there is a link to the java app at the top of the page, but as your phone doesn't appear to have java that's not much use to you - so try just logging in with you Gmail addy and password in the fields provided to use the browser if you can...

to use Gmail with an email client (i.e. for POP/SMTP connecting) you would need to use the vodfone ISP access point (not the WAP/Live! one)
