I dropped out of College a couple of years ago, a lot of the people I knew would be doing the Australia thing now. Have many people done the travel thing who dropped out? US & Canada must be more difficult without it?

canada has an under 26 program that allows you to live and work in canada for a year. you can travel into america on that visa once you have proof you are leaving within 90 days. such as an onward flight.

if you are not in college you can not go on a j1 to america.

canada would be the better option and travel down to the US.
