Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Editing boot.ini

    I need to be sure before I make any more changes.

    I had 2 logical drives on a windows 2000 pro machine, C: and D:

    I needed to drop and recreate D so I moved everything from the drive and then deleted the partition.

    Disk management said do this

    Disk_Management.jpg

    so I did.

    Boot.ini after reboot
    [boot loader]
    timeout=30
    default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINNT
    [operating systems]
    multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINNT="Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional" /fastdetect

    There's no OS on (1) and I have to manually select (2) at bootup, though this is the first in the OS choices.

    Just need it to boot straight to windows.

    Cheers.

    [boot loader]
    timeout=5
    [operating systems]
    default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(2)\WINNT="Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional" /fastdetect

    ^^^ should do the trick, and only 5 seconds of a wait.

    You can also set the timeout to 0, meaning no wait. :)
