Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Help with Blackberry 8100

A friend has a blackberry 8100, The buttons have stopped working but the Scroll/roller wheel still works, you just cant select anything.

This has happened once before and taking the battery out sorted it.

Now after many attempts its still the same.

I did some digging around on the net and found other people with the same problem, some blame water damage, but this is not the case here, the Water Damage indicators on the phone are all ok and as they should be.

To be honest I don’t really want to know how to fix it, my friend wants a new one, he has insurance.

My question is, if he brings it to a Vodafone shop, will they send it away for repair, or give him a new one? If its repair then it might get lost between now and tomorrow, you never know.

Any advice would be great guys.

    Thanks.

If you have the handset they'll try repair it.

Just because the water damage indicators are ok doesn't mean the phone hasn't been water damaged. (and we use the term "water" lightly).

Thanks for the reply, It got the same amount of water damage as any other phone he has had, as in none!

I will report back and let him go from there.

    Thanks again.
