Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

People may be familiar with ex-Irish international and renowned pundit Mark Lawrenson's weekly Premiership predictions on bbc.co.uk. One fan has taken the liberty of documenting these results and making a league table. See how your team fairs in the Gospel according to Lawro -

    http://prem.leaguerepublic.com/
    LEAGUE TABLE
    POS P W D L F A DIFF PTS
    1 Chelsea 9 7 2 0 15 2 13 23
    2 United 9 7 2 0 16 5 11 23
    3 Liverpool 8 6 2 0 15 4 11 20
    4 Arsenal 8 6 1 1 15 4 11 19
    5 Newcastle Utd 8 4 3 1 12 7 5 15
    6 West Ham 8 4 2 2 11 7 4 14
    7 Everton 9 3 5 1 12 9 3 14
    8 Spurs 9 3 4 2 12 10 2 13
    9 Aston Villa 8 3 3 2 13 11 2 12
    10 Blackburn Rovers 8 3 2 3 10 9 1 11
    11 Portsmouth 9 3 2 4 9 11 -2 11
    12 Fulham 9 3 1 5 8 12 -4 10
    13 Reading 9 2 3 4 8 13 -5 9
    14 Bolton Wanderers 9 2 3 4 6 11 -5 9
    15 Wigan 9 3 0 6 6 14 -8 9
    16 CITY 9 2 2 5 8 12 -4 8
    17 Middlesbrough 9 2 1 6 9 15 -6 7
    18 Birmingham City 9 1 2 6 7 15 -8 5
    19 Sunderland 9 1 2 6 7 15 -8 5
    20 Derby County 9 1 0 8 5 18 -13 3

City finally make it out of the bottom three this week with a 2-0 win over Boro. No sign of any fence sitting with the top four either....

Note: I was careful to edit the name of the team in second place. The guy who does the table is a City fan!

Lawro has, for a long time, been a bit of a BBC puppet more than pundit. He makes himself out to be a very insightful analyst, much like Alan Hansen was before he got bored with it all and stopped trying to give honest opinions. In effect he basically serves to preach the most obvious suspected result and doesn't seem to offer any insight other than a big team should beat a small team.

Personally, I piss myself laughing at his predictions every week. Last week he has Arsenal to lose to West Ham (2-0 if memory serves), which is basing his opinon on history rather than current team form, which to be honest, is what counts.

He's terrible on BBC TV, but i find him ok on BBC 5live and sometimes on The Last Word on Today FM. At least he actually gives his opinions on radio rather then being a bland face telling "jokes" on MoTD.

His predictions are nearly always rubbish though.

He's got Liverpool pretty much right, if we win tomorrow its 8 played 6 wins 2 draws for him. In reality it would be 5 wins and 3 draws.

    Mike.

That's cause they're the only club he knows anything about!

Lawro has 1st place Arsenal in 5th place now, behind Villa and 11 points behind Chelski.

    Shocking!

Chelsea's point at the Emirates following United's loss to Liverpool means the Blues now move 6 points clear.

I wonder have any boardsies posted their weekend predictions for all the games so far? It'd be interesting to see how their table looked...

With City in 13th I think we can safely say our European dreams are over for another year. And how Arsenal are going to make up that 11 point deficit on Chelsea I don't know.
