Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back a page or two to re-sync the thread and this will then show latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

I got a hold of this album last week and I'm surprised I haven't seen a thread on it here yet. Am I the only Arch Enemy fan who was eagerly awaiting this release? Anyway, it's an interesting album. Not quite as agressive-sounding as some of their previous stuff but it's certainly not mellow by any stretch of the imagination (although track 8, Intermezzo Liberte, is an instrumental). Angela Gossow does a great vocal performance. It still amazes me how she can do that screaming and not destroy her vocal chords! There are some great guitar riffs too. Track 2, The Last Enemy, reminds me a lot of Nemesis from Doomsday Machine.
Enough rambling, what do the rest of you think?

Saw it in HMV yesterday and I admitedly didn't even know they had an album coming out. Needless to say I'll be picking it up fairly soon.

Strange, I didn't know either, never heard about it. I hope it's not as **** as Doomsday Machine though.

I'll be getting it soon though!

 What was wrong with Doomsday Machine? There are some cracking songs on there like Nemesis, My Apocalypse, Mechanic God Creation. In fact, I'm just flicking through the track list on Winamp and I can't see a bad song on it :)

The same way other metal vocalists do it?

Well obviously she does it the same way . I suppose it's all about technique but for raw emotion, agression and power it's a great vocal style to be able to pull off. Any time I hear a metal vocalist doing it live over the course of a full gig, I can't fail to be impressed.
