well done fiji, you gave them a scare.

on a side note >>they seem to be very religous pointing to the clouds every time they scored and that group prayer at the end.

then again it did'nt stop them putting in some borderline murderous tackles:D

The Fijians, Tongans and Samoans are all incredibly religious. They have regular team prayer and bible study meetings. In saying that they are the hard men of world rugby. No match against the Island boys is a cakewalk.

They play with immense passion and their skill in the 15 man game is starting to match that passion.

It's great to see an archipelago with the combined size beeing a 70th the size of South Africa giving our boys a huge scare. It bodes well for the future of world rugby.

Very lucky SA. They played very poorly and have little chance of winning the tournament playing like that. In that second half their defence was in sixes and sevens and if Fiji scored from one of the two great try chances they had towards the end it may have been a different story.

Agreed but they had a bad day and still won.
The advantage that they may have is that every team left plays "structured rugby".
I doubt if either Argentina or Scotland will be capable of cutting up the defence in the same way. England certainly are not and are unlikely to get past the French IMO. Think it may be a SA France final, and no idea how that might go.

One of the best scrum-half performances I've seen in a long time from (Rauluni?) the Fijian number 9. He was in the middle of everything and broke then line more than most wingers/centres have managed so far. Their hooker was a real liability though - so many handling errors and lousy throw ins.

    Fiji Haka

Welsh Supporters Shirt - Dozens of lads wearing them - may be available in Green.

I'm still hoarse for cheering for Fiji. They got a standing ovation at the end as they did a lap of honour. Massive support from all the neutrals.

That ref was unbelievable, completely oblivious to half of what went on in that game.
