Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

    Not going to the Barca game :( Going to watch it on TV instead. I can see Barca winning this one 3-1. Atletico will definitely score though.

    Was gonna post about la liga last night but there was no thread and i was feeling lazy. Valencia lost at home to Espanyol, who were great on the counter.

    Valencia took an early lead from a Baraja header, and Villa looked lively with one great run in particular, but he went off injured fairly early on with ankle ligament damage and will also be out of the Spain squad. After that Valencia offered very little, Zigic didnt look great up front (but it was his first start) and Espanyol came into it more. Got an awesome goal from Riera, some cracking team play in the buildup with a great chest control and vollyed finish. Espanyol kept breaking and got the winner from Luis Garcia, dodgy defending, they all just threw their hands up for offside when he was on. He just ran into the box and slotted it past the onrushing Hildebrand.

    Final score in Barca match:
    3-0 to Barca
    Goals from Deco, Messi and Xavi. All in all, the match wasn't the best. Atletico were poor and barely threatened going forward. Agüero and Forlan were anonymous and Valdes only had one real save to make all game. Atletico were very cynical in some of their fouling, Maniche in particular. That said, Deco should have walked with 2 dirty tackles.

    It was more like a premiership game than la liga and Barca never really got out of second gear.
