Is there any common faults in '01 Astras that might cause the revs to drop and intermittant loss of power. I haven't seen the car but it belongs to a mate's brother who knows nothing about cars. He's replace the turbo about a year ago and is thinking about trading it in (cos it's knackered, even thought no one's looked at…

I haven't seen the car but it belongs to a mate's brother who knows nothing about cars. He's replace the turbo about a year ago and is thinking about trading it in (cos it's knackered, even thought no one's looked at it for him) but I think it might be an AFM sensor or something obvious.

Something was also mentioned about a crank position sensor, but I thought this would only cause it to cut out completely.

Any thoughts?
