Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Could it be that old trick where you put your number in the phone book with a fake number as the name? If so it would show up as your number and not your name in her inbox.

doubt that's the case if they've checked the phonebook and seen names/numbers.

if they just looked at the text inbox - yeah that would explain it.

it's either something really simple like that, or else something very malicious and calculated.

i assume the girl/family has tried ringing the number in question from her phone?

It's very easy to send a text from any number you want using those bulk SMS providers - e.g. clickatell, but that doesn't explain how texts meant for the OP aren't being delivered.

I'm sure it's possible to divert texts, but it all sounds quite overly elaborate.
