    Hi,

I will be laying wide plan wooden flooring on a new house in some of the rooms, I haven't put the screed on yet, am about to this weekend. Should i not bother with screed in these room and just put in the batons or can i put in the screed and use a floating floor?

    any opnions\experience?

What type of flooring are you using, solid, semi solid or laminate. Wide plank flooring in solid material may be unwise to float, depending on whether you are using quarter sawn solid material, wide solid material may have a tendency to cup. Post your query on the woodcraft forum if you fail to get an answer here
