Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Connecting to xbox live on college network

    Hey not sure if this is the right place to post but just wondering if anyone can tell me is it possible to connect to xbox live if your connected to the net on the college Local area network.

    The accomadation is connected to the college server ( In sligo IT if anyone else was/is tried it sort of thing ) Everytime we connect to the net normally we have to enter our student id and password.

    Few of us wondering if is it possible. Thanks in advance

    Ya id be very interested in this too. Im using the SLigo IT college server for the net aswell. I looked it up last year a bit and found out that the xbox needs some ports open to work ( cant remember what they are), but the only one the college has open is 8080. I was just thinking of going into the IT guys in the college to ask then if it can be done. Dont think you need the user and password anymore, i havent used it since we've been back

    i'm havin awful trouble getting it to work in DCU, they've opened up the ports but it still fails at the MTU stage...

    Well I went to the it helpdesk but they said they wouldnt open the ports. She didnt even know what xbox was at first....usual story with these types of people.

    Dont see what the problem is of not opening them up?
