Bike and Bus Convoy Limerick

I was going through Limerick tonight between Raheen and the Dock Road about 7.00pm when I met an army (MP?) convoy going in the opposite direction (Cork/Kerry direction). There were about 3 Nissan Patrols and 3 or 4 motorcycles with blue lights flashing and they appeared to be escorting four (unmarked) coaches.

I thought at first it was a Garda thing but as I passed by the convoy I saw that there was no livery and the bikes were a dark colour (it was around dusk)

Anyway, my curiosity is bugging me to find out what the hell was going on!

Does anybody know? Or does anyone want to have a guess?

Them Belgians were off visiting the Cliffs of Moher. Possibly them.

Yep, that makes sense. Forgot about them being in the country. They must have had to pay a pretty hefty parking fee at the Cliffs with four coaches. I wonder did the coach drivers park out on the main road like all the others who don't want to pay the exhorbitant (€60 I think) parking fee.
