    To eat out;

    Il Pomo D'Oro Italian Restaurant a few doors away from the Brandon Hotel is excellent and very reasonable.

    The Grand Hotel (town centre next to the pikeman monument)has a very good bar menu & also very reasonable.

    If you want something a little more pricey but excellent there is Restaurant David Norris also near the Brandon Hotel & The Oyster Bar & Restaurant. (great for seafood) in the Spa about 5kms on the Fenit road.

    Enjoy :D,

    Benny

    There is a hotel beside St JOhns Church on Castle street and has a great restaurant ( think its a comfort hotel) Really good food.. Also chinese in Barrack lane... Good pubs...
    Baileys Corner, Paddy Macs, The Mall Tavern, The brogue good steakhouse and late bar all on main street .. Good distance from Manor as its on outskirts of town... If have car well worth drive out to Fenit for a walk.. Banna beach fab for a walk miles and miles of golden beaches...

    Yeah the Cooperage is my fav restaurant, which is the one jackieod is on about near the church.

    Personally not a fan of the Barrack lane chinese, really like the new one though, also near the church, Sunny Palace.

    Il PomoDoro is yum and so is David Norris' but very rich food, so not for light eaters really.

    All the pubd suggested are good ones and I would also suggest heading to Fenit, a lovely lovely spot!!

    I've always been a big fan of the Italian place on the square, though the name escapes me at the minute... Eaten there a few times and it was always great.

    The festival is starting this week (I think) so there should be an amount of things to do tbh

    Yup its that time of year again. There will be loads on fossets circus (starts 19th) and amusements are in town. Here is a link to programme of events over the weekend (starting the 20th) http://www.roseoftralee.ie/catalog/ksg.php/cPath/121_122
    Also good places to eat are already listed by previous posters except David Norrises is now closed but is replaced by an indian cusine restraunt. Id recomend Reubens cafe on ashe street, la scala italian and bistro in the square and jewel of India/indian palace on boherbee.

    The Station House in Blennerville is miles ahead of any other restaurant. It's not cheap, but you get what you pay for. Just eat in the bar: It has the same menu as the restaurant but is less expensive and has a better atmosphere.
