    Hello fellow boarders,

My girlfriend is in the process of putting together a business plan for a small fashion retail shop with a pair of friends. Dose anyone know a 'Ball Park figure' for public liability insurance? Also who are the best brokers/insurers to go with?

Actually any advice at all for setting up a small business like this would be helpful.

    Cheers

It normally would work out cheaper to get a quote for a 'Shops Policy' that would include cover for Public Liability, Employers Liability, Stock etc.

Premium will be based on estimated turnover, wages and value of stock so it's hard to put a random figure on it. Have these figures ready when you make the call for a quote.

Most Brokers will get you a quote from the offices that are competitive on this. So, just pick up the phone on Monday morning. From memory, RS&A and Hibernian and Eagle Star had good 'package' policies.
