The first batch of 2008 Markers

    Some of the big players in the paintball world have releases their 2008 flagship marker. The first was Proto to realise the Proto Matrix 8. There are no tech specs as yet, but it's looks are a lot different than last years.

    Planet Eclipse were next to release the Ego 8 during the week. This ego bosts some nice new features such as a new SL trigger and the Kick Kit (Zero Kick) as standard. There is not many changes from the 2007 model, but Ego generally tend to have major changes every two years or so.

    WDP are expected to be next with some angel release, but we are not too sure about them. If you are looking for a great marker, Ego 7's are being flogged off very cheap at the mo with every body grabbing up the Ego 8

    The ego8 is very similar to the ego7. the main differences being the new milling similar to the sl74 and the inclusion of a stock zick kit. expect a more revolutionary product when the ego9 is released, this is just the improvement model from the ego7. my mate shot one of these in the disney french open of the millennium-series in paris last weekend, it's very nice but pretty much the same as regards feel, ROF and weight to the ego7.
