    Hi,

Just wondering if I buy Quake Wars will I be able to run it on my machine?

Had MOH - Airborne but when I installed it it told me that my graphics card was not supported - sometimes I think it's easier just to have a PS3.

    Machine Specs.

    Pentium 4 3GHz
    Radeon X300
    1Gig Ram

    Thanks.

CPU wise yer prob OK. However you could do with more ram and a better GFX card. Are you PCIE? If so there are some great bargins out there at the mo. Use this as a guide : http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/graphics-cards-money,review-29659.html. I cant honestly say if the game would run on your current setup, however grab the demo down in the mean time and give it a try.

Yeah it's an AGP card alright - have a PCIE slot so was thinking of buying this

What you think? Is there a better card out there for a similar price.

Am limited to what card I can get as my psu is only 350w? Have been told that the above will run on my machine but a 2nd opinion is always helpful.

Where's the best place to download the demo?

    Thanks.

Cant see you having both an AGP slot and a PCIE, though it is possible. Double check that before you order. You can get the demo from ftp://ftp.multiplay.co.uk/, go into FPS and navigate that way.

yeah id say ur mistaking pci slots with pci-e slots..i doubt u hava both..but if ya do.. that 1950pro is supposed to be good card for the price :)

might get away with it playing qw but itl probably be on low-med settings at 30fps

Playing on an x1950 here with everything on medium etc. Game plays well.
