IMAP Email Account with Three Broadband

Hi I'm using 3 broadband and want to access my IMAP mail accounts which I have hosted by a 3rd party. It doesn't work. I gather from reading some of the posts here that it's because of 3 blocking some ports. Is there any way to get IMAP working? Cheers
