Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Can anyone tell me where to get a good swimsuit / wet-suit and what should i be looking for. I have a 5.3mm which i use for surfing but its too boyant for swimming.

Also are there any decent swimming spots around north dublin?......Thanks for the help. :).

    Hi Emmet.

Apparently a triathlon wetsuit would be what you're looking for to not impede your swimming. I've never used one, so i can't comment - but they're much thinner than a surf wetsuit but your tradeoff is going to be warmth. (i have tried to swim in surf suits and agree they're crap)

I was in Saturday and Sunday at High Rock, Between Portmarnock and Malahide - got a good 1500M in yesterday. Temperature was fine.

It is a triathlon wetsuit that you need, they are made from neoprene, . The body of the suit will be thicker that the legs and arms. You should find some good deals this time of year. I know there is a surf shop (cant remember the name) in Monkstown selling o'neill suits for €150. But also check out http://www.cyclesuperstore.ie/

    Best of luck

    hi guys/girls

Thanks very much for the info.... much appreciated.

I might also check out surfdock in ringsend. I bought a surfboard there last year, cool little shop. The one down in monkstown is www.windandwave.ie.

As i said i am new to swimming, its really great to be able to get some feed back here on general questions, it can sometimes be a little intimidating going into a sports shop when you really dont know what your looking for.

Must check out High Rock too for a swim.:)
