I was thinking i wonder how many different times people go to boards.ie a day, people who just visit once and those who will vist 100+ times a day, id be interested to know what the total number of hits is for boards a day and was wondering why boards does not have a hit counter, i know each forum tells how many online/most online ect but it would be interesting to know exeatly how many hits a day boards gets.

    Hit counters are so 1997.

There's a link to the boards stats somewhere. Someone should know.

Yeah, and while we're at it lets change all the text to big and red, and the background to a tiled GIF image of stars on a night sky.

That gif of the stars should twinkle as well. That would be soooooooo kewl.

What I would be interested in knowing is the total amount of time a user has spent on Boards.

The true boards addicts would be revealed :)

There is a mod that shows that, but it wouldn't work retroactively.

We get 11 million page views a month (adverts.ie also gets about 1.1 million), 700,000 unique visitors a month, with an average time on site of less than 10 minutes (has dropped from 15 minutes, which may mean we are getting a lot more "external" visitors recently).

Jaysus I actually flicked through all 31 pages of that. Actually v interesting and I'm not even a nerd. Its like when you flick past the Discovery Channel and next thing realise you've been watching a show about bridges or something for half an hour and are enjoying it.

It's when I'm riveted to a show about maple syrup manufacturing that I get worried. "How it's Made" is like crack or something.

I wonder if they'll do a Fig Roll one...

I've seen the Jelly Beans one.
    Not for people with diabetes.

Does anyone else think the music sounds like a porn soundtrack?

I was in Santa Cruz all summer, where I watched "How it's made" and found out that peach rings are made IN Santa Cruz. I ate them for the rest of the summer. I also know how taffy is made, and a whole host of other things. That's a wonderful show!

What channel is it on over here?

    Discovery I think.

I love them myself. Did you know glass is actually a liquid?

Aye, but they tend to jump between series very quickly on it. You could get a load of very old ones, followed by some reletively new ones a few weeks later.

    Still a great show, mind.
