    Nearly have a celica bought, its a 94 model GT 2L. Could anyone tell me what the fuel economy is on it. I hear both good and bad but would like to know first hand.

    why are you worried about feuol econemy ?? you buy a celica you enjoy yourself :) but haven said that your pockets will be empty if you drive it as a day to day car....

    i had a 97 gt, same engine, and it cost me a fortune, used to get 22-24mpg with mostly town driving. not much better on long drives.

    sold that and bought a MR2 (didn't care about fuel) with the same 3SGE engine as the celica, with it i get about 28mpg, all short drives, 32mpg+ on long trips and the MR2 is a heavier car.

    i'd say the o2 or lamba (???) sensor was fecked in the celica, so you should be getting about the same as i get from the MR2.
