Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

one easy way to setup remote control.. is through windows live messenger
you both need to be logged in... then go Actions.. offer remote assistance and choose who you want to connect to..

then the person just needs to hit ok or something like that..

Remote desktop (if you just want to log in) and vnc (if you want to see another persons desktop).

Problem with VNC though is he will have to forward ports etc. Since he is asking this question in the first place, he will not know how to do this.

Logmein is the easiest solution. and its free.
Or remote assistance (which is not enabled in by default).

Remote desktop is only on XP Pro, not XP home. Not sure what she is using.

Ah, I wasn't suggesting that these were the best ways, just alternatives. logmein looks like a very good piece of kit.

Yeah LogMeIn is probably the easiest way to do it over the internet securely.
