Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Im down in Australia at te moment and I thought my phone would work, but I dont seem to be pickin up a signal.

I have a nokia N70 on meteor. When i search for a network i get a choice of VOdafone AU, Telsta and another netwrok that i cant rememer. When I try access them it says NO ACCESS.

Any ideas? It says on the meteor website roaming works in Aus and i have roamin set up, but nothin is happening.

Anyone any ideas? Its o frustrating being without my phone.

PS my mates N70 which is on vodaphone works nop bother.

Contact Meteor. They probably didn't setup you up for browsing in Oz.

Used to be that you had to request roaming for each country you intended visiting which was ridiculous. Don't know if that is still the case.

Thanks Brim, could be that. I cant rig them so I sent the an eail, fingers crossed thats all it is. I thought roaming would come up autoatically though, like it does with my mates vodaphone phones.

Metoer don't have automatic roaming in Australia. You need to top up by 60euro and leave credit card details on 1905.

No, it used to be like that.

I can't believe they are still using that system when roaming is so popular. What a way to lose customers.

Probably cheaper to buy a basic phone out there, use it with national call rates instead of roaming charge rates and then sell it to another punter before you leave (probably another Irish user would be best).

This is the reason I never setup roaming with them years ago and I've never looked into since.

Its prob a bit too late to get your phone working.

It may be roaming is not activated on your account. You need to be on your home network (that is, in Ireland).

If you are prepay the chances are there may not be roaming set up.

Always check with your network before you travel is my advice.... sorry.
