    3.28: The thing doesnt look too unlike a Bren gun does it? Slight elongated and beefier......and with a bolt action, but still looks like a Bren :p

    In fairness, if you're going to have a magazine with a useful load of .55 rounds, you can't really leave it on the ground. The Lahti 20mm ATR also had a top-mounted box magazine. Solothurn's ATR was side-mounted, but that could quite possibly affect the balance.

    Interestingly, the Wikipedia article on the weapon states that it was used by the 'Republic of Ireland Army'.
    Anyone here know anything about that, or do they even still exist?

    I notice the Aussies called it 'Charlie the bastard' because of the mad recoil. :D
