    4 piece electro-indie group The Whip are in their infancy as a band, having only started touring last year, but in a short space of time they have made a huge impression on the scene in the UK. Hailing from Salford in Manchester, this will be the bands debut performance in Ireland. Their sound is intense and intriguing, building the atmosphere to a euphoric, bass driven party. And like most Backlash Live bands, the hint of electro is never far from your ears

    NME refer to their music as sounding "like watching Trainspotting with Justice, Simian Mobile Disco and Franz Ferdinand, and the ghost of Ian Curtis may appear!"

    There’s plenty of sharp indie sensibility here and influences range from LCD Soundsystem to Vitalic. It’s evident that the band has progressed vastly over the past year. Good to begin with, they’ve shot straight up the ladder as expected.
