had a microdermal in my forearm (above my wrist)
very hard to keep and knocked off of everything, go for it but do expect a lot of complications

Have seen both of them done. As a normal piercing you'll be lucky to get 3 months out of them.

A friend of mine had his wrist done,
There is a sweet spot on the wrist with little or no tension and he managed to keep it in for about 8 months. Then again they are surface piercings so you will have to take them out at some time.

Have to admit though, I am a really big fan of hip piercings!

Hip piercings are becoming very popular. They're nice in theory, but I've never seen one that didn't look all inflamed and icky.

I got one above my wrist, have it now probably a month or so and ya it red and ucky(very technical term) no matter how much I clean it. Would you really only get that long out of a surface piercing? But i say why not and go for it.

Uh, you might want to get it checked out, rejection scars are pretty 'ucky'.

I wouldn't bother, the chances of keeping anything like that for more then a few months is pretty slim and even if you did, it'd be unlikey that they'd look good due to redness and swelling, yadayadayada. Everybody told me not to bother with wrist surface piercings, but I was stubborn so got transdermals because they wouldn't reject. But due to where they are, you can't really avoid constant banging and annoyance or whatever, so they still swell up and get angry and ****. It's almost impossible. Wouldn't bother with hip piercings either, they look pretty cool but they'll get constantly caught and tugged at and it's just too awkward aswell. I had a surface piercing on my stomach which is gonna be a lot easier to heal and keep then hip piercings, had it for about 5 years but had to take it out recently cos you just can't avoid the beating they're gonna get and you'll just be left with scars.
