I say it is a cross between the new Fiat Bravo and a Peugeot of any description.

Hmnnn it's not ugly but it's not gorgeous either. I'll have to see it in reality to make a definitive decision!

Edit: I found this image on the web and I like the look of it more from this angle. I'm now keen to see one on the roads.

there's no way it'll look like that in reality, so this is pointless. Typical Auto-Express photoshop nonsense.

That is the concept car Autoexpress took for a test drive no photoshop used there, however the article states that there will be some changes to the model that will be available in November 2008.

    Altea / 307 / current Fiesta / C4

Here's how an Irish one might look ;)

I think that is a concept car shown at the Geneva Motor Show.

The production car will be toned down a bit and look more like the new Mazda2. Both cars being the same underneath.

Incidently Ford is dropping the Fiesta name and calling the new car "Verve" apparently.

How is the magnet sticking to the plastic bumper? :)

Someone obviously stopped in the huge grille shop on the way to work before designing that car.

Isn't the Auto Express photo the one we've seen in every other car mag of the Verve concept car?

If it not the same photos, then until I see it in every other car mag, then I won't believe it. Just think of the photos of the "sexed up" Focus facelift which they rold us the facelifted Focus would look like. It turns out that the facelifted Focus looks really like the current one.

And AFAIK, its only the concept that is being called Verve, I would be very surprised that after 7 Marks(we've really only had 3 generations of Fiesta; the Mk2 was a heavily revised Mk1, the Mk3 was all new, but the Mk4 and Mk5 were heavily revised versions of the Mk3(the Mk4 in particular, the Mk5 had mainly cosmetic differences), then the Mk6 was all new apart from the petrol engines, and when they facelifted this in 2005 we got the Mk7, and the replacement is supposed to be the Mk8 Fiesta) of Fiesta, and a production run of already 31 years and counting, that Ford would all of a sudden change the name.

    But we'll wait and see;).

Don't believe anything Auto Express say. Just look over issues from 2 or 3 years ago and see how much stuff they predicted actually happened

I read somewhere that Ford have confirmed that the new car will not be called Fiesta. Have no link to it though.

Remeber they changed from the Escort to the Focus too, despite the Escort being a household name for generations.

Fiesta doesn't have the same dowdy image the Escort suffereed towards the end, (mainly due to it being an ancient design)
