Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

If you fancy a bet he's 11/10 on Betfair to not be in charge for the Wales match.

might be worth the risk to have your computer ready and waiting, ready to press "confirm" while watching at 6. Potential guaranteed money.

He's going to back Staunton:(...I feel it in my blood.

He'll come out with nothing new (ala previous six-one news appearances from him) and we will be further enraged and I will have that heart attack thats been threatening after last nights debacle!

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 868 ✭✭✭tdv

He better not start talking about "going forward" again.

Betfair activity has jumped. $2600 matched in the last few minutes. Odds on him leaving drifted slightly slightly to 2.34. That just went straight in to 1.27.

Could it be Delaney himself manipulating the market trying to garner funds to lure a triple threat management team of Pat Dolan, Roddy Collins and Pete Mahon?:)

The guy who gave me the tip-off that started this whole thread said to watch the 6.1 news for an announcement.

If he's wrong then I'm very very sorry. But he has impeccable sources and he's not usually wrong about this stuff.

It looks like it'll be left up to the FAI Board to decide Stan's fate, if I heard the clip of Delaney talking on the Six-One news introduction correctly.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,680 ✭✭✭Tellox

"discuss the future".. more than likely no major announcement being made today.

Still, I stand by saying that a good manager wont mean good players.

any matter, as was said earlier, will be for the board of the FAI.

not today by the sounds of it.

True, but we still need a manager that can motivate and organise...and talk.

Crowd was much more hostile at Mick's last game against the Swiss, Bertie got a right booing that night too.

It's a conspiracy. The FAI are bullying journalists. Everyone is afraid....

    Everyone is afraid....

Of what?? Dunphy was on about the FAI being bullies. Why is anyone afraid of them?

The 6-1 news just said something about a stay of execution as the FAI call for 'a review' :(

    FFS

According to RTE News, Stan's had a "stay of execution" as the FAI calls for a review.

    What's to review???

    Let's save them some trouble.

    Dear FAI,

    You hired an incompetent manager.

    End of review.

according to wikipedia he has left;)..............

    Train Driver

In a unprecented move Irish rail employeed Steve to drive the train to Cork. Steve proved himself as an outstanding driver even though he had no training. An experienced driver was appointed by Irish rail to assist Steve but was too ill to actually make any trips. Although none of the trains piolited by Staunton actually made it as far as Cork Irish Rail claimed that their service level was up 130% on attempts and announced a 4 year plan to actually get a train to Cork

    What's to review???

How best to shame him into resigning so they don't have to pay him off?

How to make his death look like an accident?

Or most likely how the FAI top brass can get rid of Steve "World Class Manager" Staunton while saving their own necks?

A friend of mine who works in the Star texted me about an hour ago saying they were expecting him to go in the office.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,625 ✭✭✭✭BaZmO*

He's not going anywhere the 6:01 news would of led with the story if Delaney was gonna say that Stan was getting the booth.

It'll be the usual, "Building for the future, 4 year contract, New manager" bollóx.

Yeah, so it said on their front page.

    "STAN WILL BE SACKED TODAY."

God I hate the star. My own fault for believing them.
