amazon, play, cd-wow all have release dates on their sites which are all different so the only release date I am going to pay attention to is whateve date rockstar officially announce...
edit: seems they have all gotten their dates in line now wasn't like that last week

I work for a large american computer game retailer in Ireland (Most of you will know who they are from that). We get those sheets in all the time. They mean nothing. The word in our HQ is that it will be a hold off till September/October for the XMas 08 market. However there is one of those sheets in all 60 stores in Ireland confirming it for April, the same sheets that said December release in June last year.

Well PEGI has given GTAIV an 18+ rating as to be expected. Thats two ratings for the game now so I doubt there will be another delay, if anything a release date should be announced soon. Of course BBFC will probably give it an 18+ rating too despite the on-going battles.

i wouldn't worry about it. GTA games are always HUGE anyway so downloadable extras would be cool but a drop in the ocean compared to the actual game.

I was under the impression that Take2 are so strapped for cash that they won't be able to afford to put it off until next christmas.

don't think there as straped as you think. What's another 8 or 9 months to a company sitting on a $500million jackpot. This game will be the biggest selling title of all time. I'd certainly pay €80 for it on my ps3.

im pretty confident the game will be released by the end of April. It has already recieved some ratings and magazines and websites will all be publishing previews of the game in the coming weeks.

One aspect the game has to come up trumps with, IMO, is the music.It was excellent in SA in fairness so it'll be interesting if they bring anything new to that side of the game.Btw, I would like to just warn people that Saints Row(THQ impersonation of GTA) is a diabolical game and should not be bought under any circumstance, as a "timepasser", while waiting for GTA4.Thats what i did and i got stung....

I had Saints Row done 100% within 2 weeks, whilest I studied for exams. Far too easy and short.

GTA trailers are always full of clues, and this was affirmed when Rockstar showed off the truck surfing mechanic. Sometimes you’re required to navigate a moving truck and make your way to front and take it over. You start at the back of the truck, hanging on for dear life. Using the left analog stick to counteract the physics of making turns you eventually crawl across the top of the panel truck swing down into the cab and turn the driver’s firearm on him.

I doubt they will delay again BUT still nobody has seen the PS3 version (which I believe was the cause for the original delay) which does not look good for release worldwide and on BOTH consoles............

We don't really know why it was delayed so I don't think we should jump to desiding what it was, IMO it could have just been an underestimation of the completion time, but that doesn't mean anything coming from me...

Rockstar have said themselves that the ps3 version was a large contributing factor to the delay. Apparently they've that sorted at this stage though

That's sounds about right as that would take a long amount of time, but its probably more to do with testing now, making sure to put the game through a long amount of beta testing, after all, not all 360 users have a HDD so they can't just release a patch as quickly as they could on the PS3 (like Pro Evo 08).

There is a rumor that GTA:IV for the PC, will be release sometime in October 08

Yea the city looks pretty sweet on the official website.

They actually got a real Irish man to narrate the Steinway Beer Garden Video instead of some stereotypical accent, this game is looking great and hilarious.
