Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

XP reinstall

Ok, my current install of XP has finally driven me to consider the pain of a reinstall. It's slow, crashes and needs a clean out. Thing is, I have my HDD partioned into C, D and E. Windows on C...if I do a completely clean install of XP on C (wiping it) I presume it will only wipe C, not my other partitions, right? Therefore it's safe to store things on those partitions for when the reinstall is complete.

When I've done this before I always forget some thing, some driver / folder or something and once the clean install is done it's deleted. Does anyone know of a site or page that lists the most common things to remember when doing a clean install? I've got all my FTP details, My MyDocs folder, but am keen to tick off the things people recommend you keep but sometimes forget. Anyone got a similar list or suggestions? Thanks.

Drivers (You can use DriverMax It's free)
    http://www.innovative-sol.com:80/drivermax/

    Documents
    Excel files
    Powerpoint Files
    Favourites
emails (If you use POP3, Outlook or Outlook Express)

email address book (Normally found at )
    C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\ApplicationData\Microsoft\Address Book (Your Name.wab)

This folder is normally hidden so make sure to go to TOOLS FOLDER OPTIONS VIEW (In Explorer) & check the radio button for "Show Hidden Files & Folders"

    pictures
    music

That's just for starters, anyone care to add to it?

It's a bit*h when you reformat & suddenly remember you forgot something that's especially important to you. It would be nice to have a good list?

    ;)
