Distance between screws on PC fan.

I'd appreciate it if someone could tell me whether the screws on an 80mm PC fan are 72mm apart, measuring from the centre of the screw? I ask because that's the distance between the screw holes in the case I have here; and I need to know if an 80mm fan will fit.
