Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Backup to DVD - Command Line/Scheduled Activities

    As above,

I've noticed an increased need for some form of utility that will allow me to burn CD or DVDs from the command-line, for backup purposes.

That is, the client leaves the DVD in the machine, the task scheduler backs up onto the DVD each evening, and at the end of the week, the client takes the DVD out, sticks the date on it and loads in a new DVD.

    Any ideas?

    some ideas on this thread
    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055165639

    Other idea
get a second drive and put in two RW's and leap frog odd and even days, the leave it in for a week is scary in case the TOC gets trashed during fridays backup

if the app you use doesn't give you an option to verify , you can always use an MD5 program to compare the files.

Ultra simple solution if it works
    * kicks self for not thinking of it earlier *
is to format an RW with a DirectCD or InCD and treat it as another drive letter
Not sure if there are freeware alternatives
