Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

XBOX Live connection issues

I have been experiencing some problems connection to XBOX Live. I have a 2MB NTL package and for the most part it works fine.

However, from time to time the XBOX will fail to read the IP address and won't connect to XBOX Live. This normally lasts a day or so then goes away and all is well.

I have been onto to NTL but they weren't much help "We don' support consoles" although they did say that all appears to be working on their end. I have also checked (and changed the various leads) but the problem continues to reoccur. It's not a dodgy connection. And strangely, when I connect the modem up to a router (when the IP problem is occuring) the XBOX will connect fine.

    Any ideas?

(If this would be better in the broadband forum, feel free to move it. Cheers)

My only guess is that the modem supplied by NTL isn't the best and, as you seem to suggest, is the cause of your problem. Is there any reason you don't have a wireless router connected to the modem all the time?
