I am? How does that work? I subscribed to the forum and put on a daily email alarm to this forum but what exactly is expected from a moderator?

It's a bit overwhelming at first but all a mod really does is mop and bucket type stuff. Delete spam, sticky threads you think are really useful to the forum and stuff like that. I doubt you'll have much trouble with a forum like this so you should be all right.

Thanks AC! Sounds ok to me. Oh, that link you posted? Doesn't seem to work.

Does a charter need to be drawn up for this section of Collectibles&Antiques in particular?

    P.,

Go to your user control panel, user settings, edot profile and you should be able to select membership of the mod category, under group memberships on the left.

The four stars and the forum link under your name may take a while longer, but that will get you into the mod forum, I should think.

You mustn't be in the mod group yet. You will be soon. That is the moderator forum where us mods talk about all things mod like. Once you can access it you should take a look through some of the threads there.

I have created the mcd thread, as for the charter, I'd just nick the one from Collectibles. Do you have mod privileges on this forum yet?

You can't actually change between the moderator and registered user group. You'll either be one or the other. Your account just hasn't been updated yet, it will be soon.

Thanks, Mick. It's great to see it starting off well thanks to the interest of the posters who have posted so far. It is also good to see it diversifying so quickly as it becomes apparent that militaria collectors have such a wide field to chose from but once you specialise it may become an obsession (don't I know it  ). :)
